Waggin Tail treats

I have written once about these great doggie treats and just decided that it was time to write about them again. These treats are excellent with a grain free version available as well. fleas this fall

We noticed a few fleas on our dog today. I called the vet to see what might be available under our Medical insurance. They gave us a pill called Comfotis, K9. It kills the fleas within 30 minutes and lasts for 30 days. I did not know that there was something like this. It cost $17. Continue

Save the birds! Keep your cats indoors...

The controversy continues about whether to let your kitties outdoors. Recently, more research confirms two disturbing statistics about cats who roam:

They kill a huge amount of birds, especially fledglings

Dogs Helping the Sick

I have been thinking about the way that pets are used to help those having surgery. When my son had a procedure last year, they used a dog to help calm him down so they could start the IV. I think it is great how animals are used in this way. To see a child who is scared to death because he is having an Angioplasty crack a smile is worth its weight in gold.
